Stealth Cam Command plans explained: the best metered tier anywhere, and an annual price the pricing card hides
Three tiers, a step-down schedule for extra cameras on Unlimited, and a $5 entry plan that sends 600 photos when most brands send 250. Here is every number from Stealth Cam's own plan page, worked out at one to eight cameras.

Plan prices as of Oct 1, 2026. Every tier price on this page was read from the maker's own plan page on that date, and each table links to it. Brands change plans without notice: confirm on the linked page before you buy, and tell us if a number has moved.

The three tiers
| Tier | Monthly | Annual billing | Allowance | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $5/mo | $48/yr ($4/mo) | 600 photos + 200 video previews/mo | HD video downloads $0.25 each |
| Plus | $8/mo | $72/yr ($6/mo) | 1,200 photos + 400 video previews/mo | |
| Unlimited | $20/mo | $120/yr ($10/mo) | Unlimited photos and previews; 10 HD video downloads | Descending multi-camera pricing is monthly billing only |
- Live View: $5/mo for 60 minutes. Unused minutes expire after thirty days
Unlimited, multi-camera: Camera 1 $20/mo · Camera 2 $15/mo · Cameras 3-7 $11/mo · Cameras 8+ $8/mo
Stealth Cam calls its app and its plan platform Command, and the same account runs every current Stealth Cam cellular body: the Fusion Max 3.0, the Deceptor Max 3.0 and the Spectre 4K Pro. The tier you pick decides three things and nothing else: how many photos the camera is allowed to send you each month, how many video previews come with them, and whether 4K photo downloads and on-demand requests are metered or not. The camera's trigger speed, flash and detection range are the same whichever tier you are on.
What matters here is the allowance, not the price. Standard is $5 a month and sends 600 photos and 200 video previews. That is the single most generous entry tier of any brand on this site. Spypoint's Basic plan is the same $5 and sends 250 photos. Tactacam's Starter is the same $5 and sends 250. Moultrie has no $5 tier at all; its cheapest is $8.99 for 1,000 images. Wildgame's cheapest is $6. For a camera on a scrape, a field edge or a gate, 600 photos a month is genuinely hard to use up, and that makes Stealth Cam's entry tier the one to beat.
Plus, at $8, doubles it to 1,200 photos and 400 video previews. Unlimited, at $20, removes the cap on photos, video previews, 4K photo downloads and on-demand photo requests, and includes ten HD video downloads a month. Everything else — private and public land maps, photo analytics, the DeerCast forecast, on-demand photos — is listed on all three tiers, so you are not buying features as you climb, only headroom.
The one thing the page does not say is whether the camera does anything without a plan. Stealth Cam's product pages state that a separate cellular data plan is required, which is the same position Moultrie takes and the opposite of Browning's. We cover that distinction across every brand in do cellular trail cameras need a subscription.
The annual price, and why the pricing card is confusing
This is the part worth reading twice, because Stealth Cam's own pricing card states the yearly figure in a way that reads wrong. Each tier card carries three lines: the monthly price, a line reading “total cost per year,” and a savings badge. On Standard those read $5.00/mo, “$60.00 total cost per year,” and “Save $12.” Those last two cannot both describe the annual plan: $60 is exactly twelve times $5, which is what you pay billing monthly, so there is no $12 saving in it.
So the honest reading is this: Standard $48 a year, Plus $72 a year, Unlimited $120 a year, which work out to $4, $6 and $10 a month. The tables on this page use those figures. We are confident in them because the sister brand on the identical platform publishes them as plain numbers rather than as a badge, but Stealth Cam's page never prints “$48” anywhere, so confirm the number at checkout before you commit a year. If it has moved, tell us and we will correct it with the date.
That $120 is worth sitting with. Billed annually, Stealth Cam Unlimited costs the same as Spypoint Premium annual ($10/mo) and the same as Tactacam Pro annual ($120/yr) for one camera. The $20 monthly price that makes Stealth Cam look like the most expensive unlimited tier we have verified is only the most expensive if you pay monthly. On a single camera, paying by the year erases the entire gap.
The Unlimited step-down
Only the Unlimited tier has multi-camera pricing, and it steps down by position rather than by a flat per-camera discount:
- Camera 1: $20/mo
- Camera 2: $15/mo
- Cameras 3 to 7: $11/mo each
- Camera 8 and beyond: $8/mo each
Standard and Plus have no equivalent. Each camera on those tiers pays the full $5 or $8, so four cameras on Standard is a straight $20 a month and four on Plus is $32. That is the quiet reason Stealth Cam suits a particular kind of setup: if your cameras do not need unlimited photos, the flat metered tiers stay cheap at any count, and if they do, the step-down only starts rewarding you from the third camera onward.
The step-down is also published as monthly pricing. Stealth Cam does not state how the schedule interacts with annual billing, so we do not compute an annual multi-camera figure anywhere on this site; the cross-brand table prints “no annual price published” for that column rather than guessing at one. If you are running four or more cameras and want the annual rate, that is a question for Stealth Cam's support before you buy, not something to assume.
Live View, HD video and feeders
Three things sit outside the tier price and all three cost money.
Live View is $5 a month for 60 minutes, and unused minutes expire after thirty days. This is the add-on that catches people out. The Spectre 4K Pro is sold partly on its on-demand live stream, and that stream is metered: sixty minutes is one minute a day, and whatever you do not spend this month is gone. If live view is the reason you are buying, price it as a permanent $60 a year on top of the plan, and compare it against the brands that handle streaming differently in best cellular trail cameras with live view.
HD video downloads are $0.25 each on Standard, as are on-demand videos. Unlimited includes ten HD video downloads a month and then, as far as the page states, you are back to paying. A video preview is not a video: the preview is what the camera sends you to decide with, and the download is the actual clip. If you pull a lot of full clips, Unlimited is not unlimited in the way the name implies, and that is a real mark against it.
Feeder plans are separate, at $4.99 a month or $49.99 a year per feeder. They are not camera plans and do not share the camera step-down, so a Stealth Cam feeder on the account is simply another line item.
Muddy runs on the same plans
Stealth Cam and Muddy are both GSM Outdoors brands, and the Command app carries both: one account, one plan structure, cameras from either badge. Muddy's plan page lists the identical monthly prices — $5 Standard, $8 Plus, $20 Unlimited — the identical allowances, and the same first-camera, second-camera, additional-camera step-down of $20, $15 and $11.
The only difference we found is presentation. Muddy prints its annual prices as finished numbers: $48 a year for Standard (“Save $12”), $72 for Plus (“Save $24”), $120 for Unlimited (“50% Savings”). That is the clearest confirmation available that Stealth Cam's annual rates are the same three figures, and it is why we are willing to print them.
Practically, this means a mixed set is fine. If you already run a Stealth Cam and find a Muddy body you prefer, it joins the same account and the same step-down rather than starting a second subscription. That is not true of most brands: a Spypoint and a Tactacam on the same property are two accounts and two bills. We do not currently rank a Muddy camera, because we have not read a maker spec sheet for one, and we do not score cameras we cannot source.
Worked totals, 1 to 8 cameras
Monthly billing, from the prices above. Standard and Plus are flat per camera; only Unlimited steps down.
| Cameras | Standard ($5 ea) | Plus ($8 ea) | Unlimited (step-down) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $5 | $8 | $20 |
| 2 | $10 | $16 | $35 |
| 3 | $15 | $24 | $46 |
| 4 | $20 | $32 | $57 |
| 5 | $25 | $40 | $68 |
| 6 | $30 | $48 | $79 |
| 8 | $40 | $64 | $98 |
Monthly billing, per month. Annual billing for a single camera: $48 / $72 / $120 a year. Stealth Cam does not publish an annual price for the multi-camera step-down. Computed from Stealth Cam's plan page, October 1, 2026.
Read the Unlimited column carefully before you commit to it. Four cameras is $57 a month, which is $684 a year — more than four Spectre 4K Pros cost to buy. Four cameras on Standard is $20 a month, and 600 photos each is 2,400 photos a month across the set. Very few people actually need the Unlimited column, and the step-down is designed to make it feel reasonable once you are already in it.
Where Stealth Cam wins and where it loses
It wins on the metered tiers, decisively. At $5, 600 photos and 200 video previews beats Spypoint's 250 photos and Tactacam's 250 for the same money. At $8, 1,200 photos beats Spypoint's 1,000 at $10 and Moultrie's 1,000 at $8.99. If you are the kind of person who checks a camera on a scrape twice a week rather than refreshing an app, the cheapest honest plan on this site is Stealth Cam Standard.
It wins on a single camera billed annually. $120 a year for unlimited is level with Spypoint Premium annual and Tactacam Pro annual, and below Moultrie Unlimited's $155.88 a year, which has no annual discount at all.
It loses on multi-camera unlimited. Four cameras at $57 a month sits above Moultrie's $51.96, Tactacam's $49 and Spypoint's $40 on annual Premium. If your plan is four or more cameras all sending unlimited photos, Stealth Cam is the most expensive mainstream option, and the step-down does not close the gap. The full cross-brand version of that table is in plans for multiple cameras.
It loses on metered extras. Live View's expiring sixty minutes and the $0.25 HD video downloads are the two lines people do not budget for, and both land hardest on the Spectre 4K Pro, which is the body most likely to be bought for video in the first place.
And it has no free tier. Spypoint's permanent 100-photo plan is still the only genuinely free option we have verified, which we lay out in cellular trail camera with no monthly fee.
Which tier for which set
- One camera on a scrape, a gate or a mineral site: Standard, billed annually. $48 a year for 600 photos a month is the best value on this site, and the set will not fill it.
- A feeder or a heavily used crossing: Plus. Feeders burn photos faster than anything else, and 1,200 plus 400 previews gives you room without jumping to $20.
- One camera you genuinely watch, with video: Unlimited annual at $120, and budget the Live View $5 on top if you bought a Spectre for the stream.
- Four or more cameras: stay on Standard or Plus if you possibly can. If every camera truly needs unlimited, price Tactacam and Spypoint first — Stealth Cam is the most expensive of the three at that count.
- A mixed Stealth Cam and Muddy set: one account, one step-down, no second bill. That is a real convenience nobody else offers.

All three were in stock at Trailcampro when we checked on October 1, 2026, at $149.99, $119.99 and $119.95 respectively. The Deceptor Max 3.0 was showing “Notify Me When Available” on Stealth Cam's own store on the same day, so buy it from a retailer rather than the maker if you want it now. Where each one ranks against the rest of the field is in best cellular trail cameras, and the brand-against-brand version is in Tactacam vs Stealth Cam.
For the hardware side of the decision, the four bodies worth putting a Command plan on are ranked in best Stealth Cam trail cameras, including the one that needs no plan at all.
How we scored this
The research behind these picks
Every pick here is built from documented evidence: the maker's published trigger speed, flash type, battery configuration and detection range; each brand's plan tiers verified on its own plan page and turned into the real monthly cost at one and four cameras; the independent shootouts (Trailcampro, Outdoor Life, Field & Stream, TechGearLab) cited by name for the measurements they published; and a public rubric applied the same way to every model. Every figure links to where it came from, so you can check our work in one click.
Scores are editorial judgments from that documented research. Commissions never set a score or decide a pick. The rubric and its weights are published.

Questions
Frequently asked
How much are Stealth Cam data plans?
Standard $5/mo (600 photos plus 200 video previews), Plus $8/mo (1,200 and 400), Unlimited $20/mo. Billed annually those are $48, $72 and $120 a year. Read from Stealth Cam's plan page on October 1, 2026.
Does Stealth Cam have a free plan?
No. The cheapest Command plan is Standard at $5 a month, or $48 billed annually. Spypoint is the only brand we have verified with a permanent free tier, at 100 photos a month per camera.
How does Stealth Cam pricing work with multiple cameras?
Only on Unlimited. The first camera is $20/mo, the second $15, cameras three to seven are $11 each and camera eight onward is $8 each, so four cameras is $57 a month. Standard and Plus are flat: every camera pays the full $5 or $8.
Do Muddy cameras use Stealth Cam plans?
Yes. Both are GSM Outdoors brands on the Command app, and Muddy's plan page lists the same $5, $8 and $20 tiers with the same allowances and the same step-down. A mixed Stealth Cam and Muddy set runs on one account.
What does Stealth Cam Live View cost?
$5 a month for 60 minutes of streaming, and unused minutes expire after thirty days. It is an add-on on top of any tier, not an Unlimited feature.
Is Stealth Cam Unlimited really unlimited?
For photos, video previews, 4K photo downloads and on-demand photo requests, yes. Full HD video downloads are capped at ten a month; beyond that the page prices them at $0.25 each, the same as on Standard.
