Spypoint plans explained: the free tier, the annual discount, and what HD really costs
Four tiers per camera, a free one that never ends, a 30% annual discount, and HD sold in $5 packs. Every number from Spypoint's plan page, with the arithmetic done at one to six cameras.

The free tier, and what it doesn't include
One hundred standard-resolution photos a month per camera, forever, with no card on file. It's the only permanent free tier we verified at any brand, and it's the reason a Flex-M2 is the cheapest cellular setup that exists. What it doesn't include: HD (that's a pack), video (also a pack), and any photos past 100; the camera keeps recording to its SD card and resumes sending next month. Living inside it is covered in no monthly fee.
Annual billing: the 30% that matters
Basic $5 becomes $4, Standard $10 becomes $7, Premium $15 becomes $10, when billed annually. Spypoint labels those 30% and 33% discounts. For a camera that runs all year, annual Premium at $10/mo is the cheapest unlimited plan we verified; for a camera you only run August through January, monthly may still be cheaper (5 x $15 = $75 vs $120). Do that math per camera.
HD packs: the line that surprises people
Every plan sends downsized photos. If you want the full-resolution frame of a buck, you request it and it comes out of a pack. Someone who pulls HD on one buck a month spends nothing; someone who wants HD by default across four cameras spends $20 a month in packs on top of the plan. That's the single biggest difference between Spypoint and Tactacam, whose Xtra add-on covers unlimited HD requests for the whole account at $9/mo; see Tactacam Reveal plans explained.
Insiders Club
Spypoint's plan page lists Insiders Club members as receiving 20% off paid plans, with the Basic plan free for members. Spypoint's product pages also show member pricing on hardware (the SPLB-22 panel at $103.99 vs $129.99, the LIT-22 at $39.99 vs $49.99). We haven't listed the club's own cost because it isn't on the plan page we read; check it before assuming the discount is net positive.

Because every camera has its own plan, the smart setup isn't "all Premium." It's Free on the mineral sites, Basic on the scrapes, Premium on the one crossing that decides your season. Cross-brand totals are in plans for multiple cameras.

Cameras we claim to have field-tested: none we don't own
Plenty of sites say they hung every camera on this list in a tree for a season. We don't say that, and we say so on every page. What we do instead: read the maker's published trigger speed, flash type, battery configuration and detection range; verify each brand's plan tiers on its own plan page and compute the real monthly cost at one and four cameras; cite the independent shootouts (Trailcampro, Outdoor Life, Field & Stream, TechGearLab) as their measurements, never ours; and score every pick on a public rubric.
